Hello there,

The second is a G3WO Matchless.

In Italy we have metric unit as you know. I have some difficult to find the correct bearings for replace engine and gearbox.
Anyone can help me to find all the correct bearings?

- 68X Ball bearing for main shaft
- 115C Gland metal washer, dished
- 114C Gland outer wahser, for bearing
- 37-1-C-2 Metal wahser for mainshaft bearing

- 40-G12M-FF190 Washer, for inner tube top bolt
- 40-G12M-FF41 Bush (fibre), guide for fork tube

- STD 203 Washer (fibre), for oil level plug
- 40-G12M-FF80 Washer (fibre), for damper tube bolt

I visited many website, but unfortunately without success.

If anyone know where I can find spares, it would be a beautiful things.

AMC CLASSIC SPARES told me that he have, but for payment asked me the credit card numbers by phone or fax. It is not correct and could be dangerous for me.

I am sorry for the incorrect english.

Thank you all.

Hi Andrea, welcome but please understand that as a new guest member your first few posts will be moderated so will not appear straight away, so please do not repeate them but wait patiently for one of the moderators to approve them. (This stops advertising and porn!)
Secondly there are real problems of delivery from the UK to the EU following changes in tax and paperwork as a result of the U.K. leaving which is causing blockages in delivery of goods by the couriers. It's so bad the club's spares department has suspended all EU deliveries until it is sorted out.
Finally Steven at AMC Classic Spares is very much a trusted supplier and anyone doing business with him will have to provide card details over the phone. If he has the goods and a courier who will deliver.......

Thanks and I apologize for the double post, I didn't notice the warning when I sent the first one.
For deliveries you gave me very bad news, I don't really know how to fix.
If anyone knows other sites maybe European that sell spare parts let me know please.
Another thing, for bearings there is a today's code? for example the bearing 68x is SKF6203

I suggest you join our club.
Spare parts are only sold to club members. All the parts you ask for have old part numbers. In circa 1952 AMC introduced new part numbers. You will need to know the new part numbers to search for the parts. A lot of the part numbers you give are not the AMC part numbers shown in your bikes Parts List.
I am Prewar Officer for the club. I help club members with problems like you have to identify parts. Prewar@ampot.com

Welcome to the forums, Andrea.
You have some wonderful projects!

Steven Surbey at AMC Classic Spares is a long time member of this club (and so was his father) and a rider of AMC motorbikes. He is completely trustworthy and a valued parts supplier.

Subscribing members can buy most spare parts from our own club spares service. Have a look here:

http://www.amoc-parts.com/store/comersu ... oducts.asp

You will need to convert old part numbers to the new numbers, for example by adding zeros to STD numbers to make it comprise 6 numbers. For example STD 806 is now 000806 and available from the spares service.

There is much help and information available to subscribing members and an excellent overhaul and specifications manual for your two bikes here:

Good luck!

Ok it is clear, I need the catalog for converting old parts into new parts. Thank you

What I mean is the commercial bearing name example the SKF 6203 which corresponds to matchless's bearing 68x.

I would also welcome Andrea to the club but he lives in Italy Spriddler so unfortunately cannot buy spares from the club until the Brexit nightmare has been resolved! :headbang:

Yes, I did spot that he was in Italy.

It would seem from Andrea's comment about Steve Surbey asking for his credit card details that Steve is still shipping stuff and as Andrea needs quite a lot I was assuming he could order from 'us' as in the Rob's latest info re. goods to E.U. or use another carrier than UPS whose service seems be problematic.

However there appears to be no restriction on placing orders and having an International courier collect or a haulier who is willing to drive to the HQ and pick up the goods on his travels back home. Naturally the £135 minimum spend to avoid VAT has to remain and there will be a charge for picking and packaging in readiness for collection. The goods will still be subject to customs declarations and will be the buyers responsibility to ensure these are in place.

For the time being that appears to be all we can do to avoid the potential losses. It's a damn nuisance and inconvenience to our EU members but rest assured I'll keep an eye on the situation and implement any changes as and when we get the nod.
Incidentally, I rec'd this last week from Wassells, who also use UPS........

Nev the situation is still hit miss and to make matters worse despite the notification about UPS today there was still nothing on their website indicating any issues, same goes for Parcel Force yet we know there are backlogs and this info is coming from several sources. 2 days ago we were notified not to ship to Germany using DHL and they have their own streamlined customs systems!!! :headbang: :headbang:

The International collections are also causing a headache as the forms we have to now fill in require that every item is specified along with the material it's manufactured from. :headbang: :headbang:

Mental and no need for it all according to the major shippers, just tit for tat going on.
