Hi can anyone post a picture of the parts required for the steering damper 1960 csr .
Parts I have are the long bolt that goes through the crown .
The two odd shaped washers underneath.
The large knob marked ajs to adjust the tension .
Last question do club spares stock the missing parts? Although as I'm not quite sure what I'm searching for which makes it difficult.
I have another csr but that also seems incorrect so not a lot of help looking at that. Just can't find any reference to it .

Re: Steering damper
Are you planning to use it with a sidecar? If not why the steering damper?

Re: Steering damper
Trying to keep the bike as found and since its been on there since 1960 I thought I would replace it. I had a bit of a light bulb moment and looked on ebay at steering dampers complete . Don't really want a complete one as I just want to replace the missing bits for the original.
I'm going to have a proper look tomorrow and see exactly what bits are missing.

Re: Steering damper
As Clive said, unless you have a sidecar or like pelting everywhere at top speed, it’s a bit superfluous but I like the look of a bike with the damper knob so I’ve just used the knob and some studding and a couple of nuts to attach it to the steering stem top nut.
