G3WO Dip Switch / Blank
Can anybody tell me which dip switch I should be using on my 1940 G3WO? I assume it should be the round body type with the strap over the top, should it have a round or diamond shaped lever? Also, does anyone know if the clock blanking plate on the tank instrument panel is still available anywhere?

Here's the link to original parts list no pictures unfortunately which isn't very helpful but the correct parts would be painted or dull plated not chromed i would have presumed , perhaps with the part numbers listed you can find pictures of the items you need.
It may help track down the correct items if still available.

May I suggest you first read the parts list introduction. You will read there are 8 or more different finishes. All part numbers have a prefix. You will soon get to the table prefix letters and what they refer to. For a few years part numbers gave for example e = it fits on the engine. last 2 digits of a year = Year of introduction. G12 smallest model it fitted, prewar G12 was a 250 ohv Rob H

The last illustrated prewar parts list was 1935. Some one drew some very nice drawings of OHV top end parts I think were for 1938 onwards. First year square timing covers became rounded

That is an amazing catalogue, I found the dip switch eventually on page 182. So it is one of the round bodied switches with the diamond shaped lever. Thanks very much.
Does anyone know where I might get the blanking plate that replaced the clock on the fuel tank panel? Is it still available?

If you are referring to this
then I can confirm I have the same one on a 1961 Dutch Army Matchless. It's chromed, just with a few layers of paint on it.You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Thanks Duncan, I will keep Draganfly in mind if I can't find one with writing. I am going to the jumble at Shepton Mallet later in the month so I will try there. Were they originally brass?
Hi Jack, I believe the correct one for 1940 was 31482 without the horn button and with the strap that goes over the top. Looking at the parts book it definitely had a seperate horn button. Same style lever though. It is on page 182 of the catalogue.
