Wheel bearing grease

I've finally found the time to start to rebuild my rear hub after obtaining a spare after the dreaded speedometer gearbox lock up, unfortunately it stripped the hub threads. The taper roller wheel bearings from my original hub are in good order as they were well greased where as the ones from my replacement hub are showing signs of wear, maybe they were run with no clearances? Anyway, I have been using lithium based grease rather than moly is that the correct type?
