Actually there is one last question which will help me work out the required spacer dimension 'twixt the current oil thrower and '56 sprocket which i will obtain - does anyone happen to know the thickness of the '57 spacer (which I suspect mine is not).
The '57 is part 023163, the only year they used them I believe. The '56 version (014295) is 9/32" as per the spares list,but the the 1957 list doesn't state the thickness, but it seems wider in the drawing than the pre '57s.
I know it's a tall order so if not I can buy said item.
