Welcome to the club Dave, hope you enjoy it-I'm sure you'll enjoy the bike, it looks a good project and one day, one day, I will get one for myself.
Regarding the replacement ignition systems, have you tried Rex Caunt racing? I don't know if he's done any for these bikes yet but it would be worth checking.
(I'm not connected but do know him well and live fairly close by so go to him a lot for this sort of stuff)
