1954 G9

Can anyone confirm where the CVC Voltage regulator should be mounted. The bike came with it mounted under the dual seat nose though I seen some where it is mounted between the battery carrier and the toolbox. Which is correct?

oops i see its 1954, i think then the box should be under the seat on two lugs that hang down on the rear loop

It should for a '54, the lugs would look naked without the intended adornment. It's a good spot actually - but even better for a solid state regulator if serious nocturnal use be your objective.
