Not wanting to upset any purists out there but does anyone know what wheels can be swapped around from bike/model to bike

As in my 52 model 20 has half width hubs if i wanted to fit a full width front hub are there any straight swaps either from AMC or other makes.
I know you can engineer stuff to fit but just wondered if there is a known straight fitment with maybe a tls.
cheers

I see no reason why an AMC full width hub will not go straight in, just be sure you get the right torque arm to suit.
If you can find the early FWH it won't look too modified either.

1954 saw the introduction of the full width hub at the front. Known as the 'Salmon Tin' this had a parallel major diameter, as opposed to the '55 on hub ('Biscuit Barrel) which had a slightly convex major diameter,

Look here http://www.ajs-matchless.com/pic_display.asp?id=326 for '54 hub.Edited by - Biscuit on 21 Sep 2008 4:03:23 PM

Jampots
Salmon tin
Biscuit barrel
I Wonder why they are all food related terms?
Are AMC owners hungrier than most?
