Due to both my AJS's being sick I'm going to have to ride the Greeves on the Centenury run on Sunday.
Club membership states you should be interested in AJS and Matchless machines, not necessarily own one. At least it did when I first joined.

Please can we now move on, live our lives and enjoy our machines while we can ??

It's all 'telboys' fault!............

Here in the Wey Valley,we're a zone-free zone!
My AJS is sick too, dropped valve guide.Got the new one in,just not the rest as yet,Work keeps getting in the way.
So it'll have to be the Honda Superdream for my part, but at least i've got the more powerful 12v lights & indicaters.Should make it easier for riders to follow me,as i'm one of the escorts for the Wey Valley/Hampshire section of the centenary run.
Come ride with us,one & all.

Hadn't thought of that Janet, I'm having to run the Greeves at 20/1 at the moment and it does smoke quite a bit, especially I open the tap!

Rex, I was running it on Morris's Plus 2 semi synthetic at 35/1 but it kept on picking up even after 2500 plus miles after rebuild. After chatting to British 2 stroke Club people I have changed the oil to Morris's mineral Horticultural 2 stroke oil and was running at 25/1 but the problem persisted, hence now trying running at 20/1 for a few hundred miles then go back to 25/1 and see if the problem has been cured.
